A TRAVELER'S LIFE

Audrey Gueudet to You

by Helene Goupil

Audrey Gueudet, a native of the South of France, took off her second year of college to live abroad for the first time in her life. She landed in Newcastle, in the north of England, and although the harsh weather has a way of discouraging people—especially those used to someplace like sunny Provence—she enjoyed her time in Newcastle. So much so, she has been on the road as much as possible ever since.

After mastering the language in England, Audrey headed to Spain where she learned yet another language. After returning to France to finish her degree, she has lived in England and Paris, peppering her time abroad with trips to Cuba, Asia and Greece.

As of this writing, she is spending three weeks in Thailand and Cambodia and last we heard was having a tough time not being affected by poverty in Phnom Penh.

What are you doing now and where are you?
I work in Brussels, Belgium, the capital of Europe as they call it. I’m a content editor for the European Union’s official website, I write a bimonthly newsletter on EU news and provide information to the citizens on EU development cooperation policy. It sounds more exciting than it really is, believe me!
