The souqs (or markets) are always so colorful and interesting—you can stand there and watch the locals effortlessly dodging the wheelbarrows, donkey carts, and crowds of people in the narrow alleys. People are doing everything from getting a haircut out on the street to purchasing spices and produce. We were walking around the streets of the Luxor market and the children were always curious and wanted to follow and show us around. This boy led us through the back alleys of the markets.
